Energy Experts & Local Leaders Will Speak at SUN Day

Join us for a festival-style event, this Sunday, September 21, from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. at the Santa Barbara Public Library’s Michael Towbes Library Plaza (40 East Anapamu Street). Look for 350 Santa Barbara’s booth and come say hello.

The Sun Day of Action in Santa Barbara is part of a nationwide celebration of renewable energy. An impressive line-up of energy experts and community leaders will be speaking under a white marquee in the lower library plaza, between the library and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.

At 1:30pm Leah Stokes, Professor of Environmental Politics at UCSB, will lead with opening remarks, followed by keynote speaker, SB County Supervisor Laura Capps. Craig Lewis of the Clean Coalition will act as master of ceremonies, introducing many other experts who will offer insights on the state of clean energy in our region and practical ways to accelerate the transition to a fossil-free future. What we do now is crucial to creating a healthier environment and a safer climate for ourselves and our children and grandchildren.

Please invite your friends and family. See you there!
